He will be heard as Babinsky in Weinbergers “Švanda Dudák“, as Juan Damigo in Dostals Operetta “Clivia” and he will furthermore sing the Role of “Peter” in the Austrian Debut Premiere of “Morgen und Abend” by the composer Georg Friedrich Haas. Future plans in Graz include a role debut as Hans (The Bartered Bride) and a staged production of Britten’s War Requiem. He is also returning to the Halle Opera as a guest in the current season, singing the Officer, the male leading role, in Reimann’s “Ein Traumspiel”.
“The young German tenor Matthias Koziorowski was absolutely outstanding. With seemingly endless reserves of strength, he masters the gigantic role of the robber Babinsky effortlessly and always with a beautiful sound. His voice can blossom radiantly, show off dramatically, possess a demonic baritonal depth and still sing lyrical piani. A real asset for the Graz Opera.”
ORF Radio Ö1, 20.12.2021
Matthias Koziorowski is vocally and visually an ideal royal cast for this part. [The Prince] Richly differentiated and with an always confident tenor voice, the still young tenor effortlessly shapes every note of this often so feared role.
